Crypto picks for year 2022 — Atom — Undervalued monster?

I Will introduce my thoughts what cryptos could do good in year 2022. Will we enter bear market? I don’t know, but in general I don’t expect similar explosive growth like in 2021. Crypto never sleeps and there are always opportunities to those who work hard and seek them.
My picks will be more “risk off” plays, yeah we are talking about the most riskiest asset class ever created in humankind history and also historically high debt levels, keep that in mind. I try to find those which are still undervalued and brings lot of utility to space and have some kind of innovation. I have feeling the crypto market will become more rationale and high IQ plays might pay off in year 2022. In 2021 we had shitcoin/nft/vaporware etc manias where you could turn 50 dollars to millions, this year will be different for sure. Even a monkey could have 3x their money last year, this time it will be lot harder… Maybe. Keep dancing shoes on and I will definitely change my mind and strategy if we get to some similar kind of mania phase, like in 2021.
Pick 1: Atom — Undervalued monster?
Its the internet of blockchains. Last year we got IBC which allows interoperability between different chains. I have zero technical capabilities and I have zero clue how this wizard stuff works. All I know this is massive and it solves many problems, it has also always worked for me. There was for awhile in 2021 this bridging and interoperability meta, “yeah all chains will work together and help each other”. Cosmos can be the one, others are just another side chains for cosmos.
Why Atom hasn’t exploded? Tricky tokenomics, the token itself was pretty useless so far, only use case really was to only buy osmosis etc. Roadmap from now on is focusing more to bring even more value to atom holders: Cosmos hub roadmap. It isn’t also chilled by any big VC money, its not “sexy” for average user… The whole meta 2022 could be that markets come little bit smarter vs 2021 and here Atom could shine and the roadmap also supports this. The user experience is already pretty good. Get some ATOM and UST from Binance/Kucoin and start the adventure. Highly recommend https://osmosis.zone/ and Keplr wallet.
Cryptos are usually ridiculously overvalued or undervalued, Atom feels vastly undervalued. I am very big fan of terra ecosystem (build cosmos sdk) and Cosmos defi will benefit a lot from UST. People will seek more yield no matter what. There is also crypto.com and their defi chain crypto.org which will bring more users. Stake your CRO in the app… I want more yield, take it to CRO defi-wallet and from there to osmosis with IBC, its easy, fast and highly lucrative.
The stuff build on COSMOS SDK were on fire last year (LUNA,BSC,CRO), will the native token ATOM steal the show in 2022? It certainly can. There are also ton of new stuff being build on COSMOS SDK, which should drive adoption even further. ATOM holders often also gets very generous airdrops on protocols build on cosmos.
I am not expecting to get multiple X on my money here, but definitely expecting this to be excellent year for ATOM. 10B market cap seems cheap at least compared to for eg Cardano (43,9B).
- Strong community, will survive bear markets. Super smart people here.
- GROWTH bonkers, protocols build on COSMOS growing like crazy, will spill over. IBC will drive the growth even faster.
- Very good roadmap for 2022, DEFI and ICB only starting now. It is super smooth to use and easy.
- Has usability and solves many problems. Working already!
- Maybe only noticed by large crowds when all the shit has been wiped? 95%… Its also already # rank 22 so keep that in mind (not astronomical gains).
- We all ready know that when masses fomo to cryptos, it won’t be projects like ATOM. My bet here is that these new users will be smarter and smarter as time goes on.
Definitely recommend to at least try and test the internet of blockchains. I am happy bagholder here and will scoop more atom if there is some sort of correction in crypto markets. Atom had tremendous start and already 20% up, would I fomo in now? Definitely not, I am happy buyer when price is closer to 20usd considering the current market (I will change my mind fast though, if the outlook changes).
Why Atom is my number 1 pick for year 2022 if I don’t want to buy it at these levels and I am not expecting fast gains?
Atom has hidden “super value” it has the shot to become that LAYER 0 and backbone for all the chains. It is also undervalued what it already does now, 4 top 20 projects build on cosmos sdk, you think it stops here?
